time to wake up, today is Sunday

Indeed the thought was unnecessarily troubled and has been comforted. A genuine answer to prayer and a show of the blessing of faith, although I don't at all suggest that a person's status in the kingdom carries a condition of any political belief.

The more I hear of the details and implications of the result, the more I am heartened. So much to be thankful for, a few of the main points:

  • A green vote of 7% as opposed to an expected 10%+
  • No lower house green seats
  • The greens no longer have an effective influence in the upper house; if soneone had have suggested that to me beforehand I would have politely tried to let them down gently
  • The national right movement is fractured and the baton has been fumbled by One Nation
  • ...but picked up sensationally by Family First who now unbelievably control the upper house. This is the most surprising and wonderful result. The prospect of having a God-honouring man of the calibur of Steven Fielding in such an influential position was as remote as it was marvellous, but the smoke of the incense did not go unnoticed!

Surely then this same Creator would find my depression and Asperger's as a mildly enjoyable distraction on a sunny day like today.
