How do I feel? Not displaying correctly? |
2004-12-28 - 2:49 p.m. only in his hometown is a prophet without honour
You should be getting used to this by now… I was urged to do the Famous Leader Test by someone who was eager to see which leader I would be. The test tells me I’m most like this man, Mahatma Gandhi. Is it just me or is that not necessarily the first person that came to mind? Or how is it that Gandhi, Nelson Mandela and Martin Luther King Jr. are hailed as heroes whereas others who implemented a similar politic towards the freedom of their own people – such as martyrs Fortuyn, Theo van Gogh and Verwoerd – are derided? It seems the people that discriminate on the basis of the colour of skin are the ones that call themselves “anti-racist”.
